Mixed Fruit Orders: Keep Lime, Dragon Fruit and Durian Lots Traceable
Maintain separate lot identities for seedless limes, dragon fruit and durian when receiving or splitting a multi-product order.
One purchase order can contain seedless limes, white or red dragon fruit and several durian descriptions. That commercial grouping should not erase the identity of individual lots. The receiving team needs to follow each product through storage, splitting and dispatch.
Create a product-and-lot receiving list
List each product form and its declared identity separately, with the supplier lot code, quantity and package references. Distinguish white-flesh and red-flesh dragon fruit, and keep Ri6, Musang King and Monthong declarations separate where supported. A single internal order number can connect the transaction while individual lot identifiers preserve the detail.
If the purchase brief also includes pink pomelo or fresh passion fruit, give each its own order line, specification and lot reference. Confirm the actual cultivar, origin and packing details for each offered lot, then preserve those distinctions when splitting or repacking. Adding a product to the commercial order does not confirm stock or compatibility with the other products’ transport conditions.
Record splits without losing the parent link
When a carton or pallet is divided, label the resulting units so they remain connected to the original lot. Keep quantities and destinations in the record. If material is repacked, document the new package reference and its relationship to the source. Do not overwrite the old code merely to make an internal label shorter.
Separate traceability from storage compatibility
Being on the same order does not prove the products can share the same storage or transport conditions. Ask the responsible quality and logistics teams to confirm the appropriate handling for each actual product form. Maintain the identifiers even where products are held in different areas or dispatched at different times.
Test whether the record answers a real question
Select one received lot and check whether the team can identify its remaining quantity and outbound destinations without relying on memory. GS1’s fresh-produce guidance provides a wider framework for traceability records. Send HAFAMEX a product-by-product brief and your receiving-label requirements so a mixed order remains clear from quotation to handover.
