Ri6 Durian Sample Approval: Record Ripeness at the Test
Document the condition and timing of a Ri6 durian sample so approval can be compared with the delivered lot.
A Ri6 sample approved on one afternoon does not define a delivery target unless the buyer records its condition and timing. “Same as the sample” is difficult to apply when nobody noted when the fruit was opened, how it was held or what texture was accepted.
Define the receiving and eating moments
Decide whether the customer needs fruit for immediate use or for a planned later service. Keep harvest maturity and ready-to-eat texture as separate questions. General durian references describe ripening after harvest, but they do not establish a guaranteed schedule for a particular Ri6 lot or route.
Open and describe the sample consistently
Record the lot reference, receiving time, holding history and opening time. Identify the sampled fruit and assess several relevant portions rather than the most attractive aril alone. Describe firmness, texture uniformity and the agreed flavour observations. Photograph the sample beside its code; an unlabelled image cannot preserve the approval basis.
Make the approval conditional on the stated conditions
Write what was accepted and for which use. If the customer approves a sample for same-day service, do not turn that into a promise about a different storage period. If a second review is needed, use the operator’s validated handling procedure and retain both observations. Do not invent a universal ripening timetable from a single fruit.
Connect the reference to the order
Keep the sample sheet with the specification and confirm whether the delivery will come from the same lot. Changes in product form or planned timing should trigger a new review.
